Bahamas Break (NOT ANY LEGS)

For those of you that don't know...when we were married in February 2010, we took a honeymoon cruise! The weather was HORRIBLE, the seas were wicked and even though it was a cruise, it wasn't that great! Half way through the cruise we FINALLY made it to land and ported in Nassau. The same day we ported was my first headline art show. Of course, we couldn't make an appearance (since we were on our Honeymoon) but I wondered the whole day how people would enjoy my art! The old saying for luck goes "Break a Leg"...well, I did, just that...on our honeymoon. Just across from the Port Authority I fell, HARD and broke my leg. It was the first break of my life and probably one of the scariest moments ever. Bill and I really were tested very early on, but we survived...BARELY. He took care of me, and I finally had to surrender my pride after 30 years and ASK for help. I was completely bed-ridden for three months and had to rely on the assistance from my hubby and any friends that could stop by and help. IT WAS TORTURE!

We booked the exact same cruise (as our honeymoon) except had my dad tag along! Bill said he'd need help if I broke anything else. It was cleansing and we made our peace with that fateful spot in Nassau where I broke my leg. We went back to the same corner and ironically we received lots of good signs! The first was a feather (which Bill and I hold very sacred and meaningful), the next was at the very corner there were Coca-Cola signs, one which read "13" (which is obviously very important to us) and the other was a sign which read "Think Positively".

We made our peace with a moment that affected us greatly!! So here's to my "redemption" (for those fellow Tosh.0 fans you understand) and moving on!
